The tragedy occurred the day before on the territory of the Sredneakhtubinsky district of the Volgograd region.
As it became known, around 1 p.m. on April 3, near the village of Standard, a two-seater Bekas light-engine plane crashed. On board was a 58-year-old man – the pilot and owner of the plane. He died at the scene from injuries sustained in his fall.
According to preliminary data, the plane crashed while taking off from land that was not intended for the use of take-off and landing aircraft. It probably could have caused an accident.
Specialists are working at the scene, the ICR’s Western Interregional Transportation Investigation Department reported. Special examinations will be appointed to determine the causes of the accident.
An investigation is underway.
