“Brothers and sisters, hold fast to the holy canonical Church, His Beatitude, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry,” Interfax quotes the Metropolitan’s video message in Russian, broadcast today.The Viceroy also thanked everyone for their prayers and urged them to continue to come and stand at the Lavra.He pointed out that despite being imprisoned, he was not discouraged and appealed to the monks of the monastery with a request not to go against his conscience.“Do not leave Lavra, do not become traitors,” Metropolitan Pavel urged. – When Christ was on the cross, everyone fled and left only Christ. Don’t leave Him today.Separately, the governor addressed those who are now attacking the monks and parishioners of the Lavra and urged them not to do what they would later be ashamed of.
