Vorobyov promised Putin to complete the rehabilitation of old landfills in the Moscow region in 2023-2024

Large-scale rehabilitation of the former Serpukhov and Volokolamsk landfills in the Moscow region will be completed in 2023-2024. This was stated by the governor of the region Andrei Vorobyov during a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, reports 360.
“The last two (objects. – Editor’s note), the most worrying, are in Serpukhov and Volokolamsk – we will complete a major rehabilitation in 2023-2024,” he said.
According to the governor, there will be no more “disturbing” objects in the area. Vorobyov added that a total of 17 old landfills have been recovered under the federal program, these are now environmentally friendly areas that can be used in the future.
In the Moscow region there is not a single working landfill for household waste. The last of them – TKO “Lesnaya” near Serpukhov – was closed in 2020.The message that Vorobyov promised Putin to complete the rehabilitation of old landfills in the Moscow region in 2023-2024
