The timing of the last train on all lines of the Delhi Metro, except the Airport Express Line, will be extended by about 30-45 minutes on Indian Premier League (IPL) match days at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The officers provided this information. Arun Jaitley Stadium (Feroz Shah Kotla Ground) is adjacent to Delhi Gate Metro Station.
“The DMRC will extend the timing of its last train on all lines (except the airport line) by about 30-45 minutes, so that the visitors can reach their destinations conveniently,” Delhi Metro said in a statement on Monday. The matches will be held on 4, 11, 20 and 29 April and 6, 13 and 20 May.
Officials said that additional train movement beyond normal timings has been planned in such a way that they provide connectivity service in all directions from the interchange stations of Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Kashmiri Gate, Kirti Nagar, Indralok and Lajpat Nagar. Additional token vending machines, pre-vended token counters and staff will also be deployed at Delhi Gate Metro station for the convenience of commuters on match days.
