Ex-spy Scott Ritter found it impossible for US to attack Russia via Alaska

The possibility of an attack by the United States against Russia using the territory of Alaska for this purpose is excluded. This opinion is shared by Scott Ritter, a retired US Marine Corps intelligence officer.

In an interview with the US Tour of Duty YouTube channel, he ironically commented on the assumptions about such a scenario.

“Now that things are as they are, the United States from Alaska does not pose a significant threat to Russia,” the intelligence officer said.

According to him, from a theoretical point of view, the development of such a plan can be authorized. However, to implement it, Washington would have to completely restore the northern state’s military infrastructure.

In addition, the retired officer continued, the US authorities should not forget that Russia’s military potential in the Arctic is higher, because Moscow has been working in this direction for a long time, recognizing the strategic importance of the region.

Previously, Ritter had predicted the deplorable fate of Western equipment supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to him, the Russian army will burn it.
