How Russian officials reacted to the death of Tatarsky – in the selection of The Eastern Herald.

Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev

Medvedev urged Russians to report to law enforcement those who receive Ukrainian funding in Russia.

“If someone in front of you said that he received money or work from Ukrainian sources, it is very likely that this person has taken the path of treason. And he has already committed a crime. That is an enemy, and you have to report it to the special services or the police,” estimate Deputy Head of the Security Council RIA Novosti.

Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry

The diplomat called the explosion in Saint Petersburg “a barbaric act of terrorism”. Asked to comment on NAC data that Ukrainian intelligence had planned the explosion, Zakharova said Kiev’s involvement in the incident “would be further confirmation of its use of terrorist methods.”

“We believe that states and international organizations that genuinely condemn terrorism and uphold the job safety of journalists and bloggers are obligated to give a fundamental assessment of this egregious act of terrorism,” he added. declared Zakharov.

Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin

The lower house speaker blamed Tatarsky’s death on authorities in the United States and EU countries, which support Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“The support of Washington and Brussels for the authorities in Kiev has led to the creation of a terrorist state in the center of Europe. The Kiev regime tries to intimidate and destroy those who speak the truth. Nothing justifies terrorism. All over the world, it is fiercely fought. They do not negotiate with the terrorists, they are destroyed,” Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel.

Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko

The Chairman of the Federation Council called the explosion, which killed Tatarsky, “nasty”. According to her, the military correspondent was killed because he “wrote the truth”.

“Vladlen not only fought in the militia, collected aid for our soldiers, but, more importantly, he shaped people’s understanding of the special operation. And I’m sure he did a lot for our future victory, ”says Matvienko’s telegram channel.

Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Beglov

Tatarsky was a “brave and strong patriot”, as well as a “profound and brilliant journalist”, writing Beglov in the telegram channel. He noted that the explosion in the cafe occurred on the eve of the anniversary of the 2017 terrorist attack on the stretch between St. Petersburg Sennaya Ploshchad metro stations and the Technological Institute.

“Then as now, criminals tried to instill fear in our society. But they won’t get anywhere! Russia is a country of strong people,” the governor said.

Head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov

Aksyonov accused a “terrorist junta” that “governs Ukraine” and “actively recruits women” to carry out the attacks for plotting the explosion. In his view, the United States was also involved.

“You can see that they are seriously preparing for the preparation of terrorist attacks, not without the participation of the Americans. I think that the problem of Ukrainian terrorism must be radically solved. The terrorist regime must become a thing of the past, there are no other options. <…> The retribution must be swift, demonstrative and crushing,” writing Aksenov in the telegram channel.

Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov

The region’s chief described the deceased military correspondent as “direct and honest”. “Hundreds of young people from the Moscow region remembered him with the same sincerity. He spoke to them as equals. He showed what it means to be a true patriot,” said in the Vorobyov telegram channel.
