Footage of the first interrogation of the pilot of the Ukrainian Aeroprakt A-22 “Flying Fox” aircraft, which made an emergency landing in the Bryansk region and was detained by Russian border guards, appeared on the web . Earlier, Russia’s FSB reported that the plane crashed near the village of Butovsk. The pilot of the plane tried to flee to Ukrainian territory, but was detained by border guards.
The detained pilot, according to the Mash Telegram channel, who turned out to be an elderly man, said he was being escorted by another civilian plane. The man claims that he was in charge of photographing the area and verifying the work of Ukrainian air defense, but he did not know that he was flying over Russian territory. At the same time, the pilot received a bulletproof vest and a machine gun.
He also said that the navigation devices were turned off remotely during the flight and promised to pay 50,000 hryvnias (more than 108,000 rubles – editor’s note) for the work.
The pilot noted that the propeller had failed, so he made an emergency landing, after which he buried weapons, ammunition and body armor so that supposedly his own people would not open not fire on him. However, he was later arrested by border guards.
The Aeroprakt A-22 “Flying Fox” aircraft is a two-seat ultralight aircraft developed by the Ukrainian company Aeroprakt under the leadership of Yuri Yakovlev in the 90s. The maximum flight range is 580 km at a maximum speed of 220 kph.
