Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Breaking the silence on the rumors regarding his departure from Euphoria

Barbie Ferreira explains her departure from the hugely popular HBO series Euphoria.

The American actress starred in the first and second seasons of the series, she was one of the main characters in the first, but her role was much smaller in the second. In August 2022, it was announced that Barbie would not appear in the third season.

Various rumors swirled about why she wouldn’t stay on the show. The rumor that seemed to spread the most was that there had been a falling out between Barbie and Sam Levinson, the show’s producer.

Barbie sets the record straight and thwarts rumors.

“People think I was a bit of a victim in the second season, and I’m always like, ‘No, it’s okay.’ I promise. It’s okay,” Barbie said on the Armchair Expert podcast.

“I watch things like that if it didn’t happen I’m not going to comment on it because then you’re just adding fuel to the fire. Don’t believe everything you read .”

One of the rumors circulating was that Barbie left the set after an argument with Sam. She says that didn’t happen. “I haven’t smoked. I sprained my ankle once and had to have an x-ray. Maybe they’re talking about it,” she said.

Barbie said Kat’s story in Euphoria was simply over. “I think there was nothing more for her.” I don’t think she would have found her place in the series (…) and I think that me and the producers knew it. I wanted to stop playing fat friend and I think they wanted to too.”
