In Russia, state tests of combat vehicles built on the Boomerang platform have begun. It is reported by RIA Novosti. According to the agency, they should be completed by the end of this year.
At one of the military training grounds, state tests of wheeled combat vehicles on the Boomerang platform began – K-16 armored personnel carriers and K-17 infantry fighting vehicles . In total, several units of military equipment are involved

According to the source, the latest armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles will undergo various firing and sea tests. According to their results, new models of armored personnel carriers should receive the letter “O1”, allowing them to start mass production.
According to open sources, the K-17 infantry fighting vehicle, created on the Boomerang platform, has a hull length of 8.8 meters and a combat weight of more than 28 tons. On the highway, it can reach speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour, and the range of the new combat vehicle is 800 kilometers.
Its main armament is the Boomerang-BM remote-controlled combat module. It is equipped with a 30 mm automatic cannon and launchers for the Kornet anti-tank missile system.
