Hungarian Foreign Minister accuses NATO of violating neutrality in Ukraine

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó blamed NATO for violating neutrality in the Ukrainian conflict. According to him, the invitation of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to the summit of foreign ministers of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance in Brussels contradicts the principle of allied unity.

“We came here with the hope that no one will question the validity of our previous joint decision that NATO is not a party to the conflict,” said Peter Szijjártó.

The Hungarian Foreign Minister noted that NATO should not allow a direct military confrontation with Russia. Therefore, it is unacceptable to supply weapons to Ukraine at the alliance level.

Earlier, Szijjarto said NATO countries had gone far in sending weapons to Kiev. According to him, the danger of a new world war is very real. Hungary is of the opinion that it is necessary to conduct negotiations that could lead to peace in Ukraine. The basis could be the Chinese plan for settling the conflict.

Recall yesterday at NATO headquarters in Brussels staged a protest against the supply of weapons to Kiev. It brought together around 50 people from Belgium, France, Italy and Germany.
