Al-Majd Center for Girls in the North region continues many activities and events aimed at developing the skills of girls in several different aspects, including cultural, social, artistic, sports, technological, etc., which are various activities, within the framework of the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s plan to pay attention to youth and girls’ centers. Haya Al-Kubaisi, Executive Director of Al-Majd Center for Girls, said that the “Our Society is a Healthy and Athletic” initiative was launched in light of the interest in sports, and benefiting from the great legacy left by the Qatar World Cup 2022 for the mountains, in cooperation with Ihsan Al-Shamal Club and under the auspices of Al-Shamal Sports Club, the permanent partner of Al-Majd Center. The initiative continued. For a period of 3 continuous days, and it included many sports in basketball, handball, a marathon in the Corniche, and a walking competition, in which many girls from the north appeared with high physical fitness, in order to urge the girl to exercise regularly, and to create an athletic generation that contributes to the activity of the committee Qatari girl, whether as a player, coach, administrator or referee. The initiative included an electronic competition with questions related to sports.
