The interim Governor holds working meetings with the heads of the region’s largest structuring and backbone companies. Vasily Nikolayevich pays special attention to those who are involved in the implementation of the state defense order. It is a task of national importance. It is equally important that these enterprises provide employment to the Smolensk region.
Another such meeting took place with the general director of the Avangard Safonov plant, Eduard Borisovich Epishin. Avangard, like the Smolensk Aviation Plant, is part of the Tactical Missiles Corporation and is a strategic enterprise of the military-industrial complex. More than one and a half thousand people work here.
During the conversation with Eduard Borisovich, the acting governor inquired about the situation of the enterprise, the execution of the state defense order and the expected increase in personnel by several dozen additional people.
Also in the conversation, they discussed the possibility of using composite materials produced at the enterprise to extend the service life of boiler rooms and other communal housing and services in the Smolensk region.
