Readers of the German edition of Die Welt criticized the head of the German Foreign Ministry, Annalena Burbock, for her comments on the reason for Finland’s NATO membership.
According to her, this happened because Russia “violated all the rules of the international and European order”.
Many said that Burbock should restrain herself and not “blur” whatever comes to mind.
“There are times when you should hold back, but this isn’t about Mrs. Burbock,” “Burbock should occasionally consider whether she should really let out whatever comes into her head. This isn’t It’s not diplomatic to constantly add fuel to the fire,” readers wrote.
Some also pointed to Burbock’s low level of education, stating that she was incapable of grasping responsibility.
“The function of diplomat has been entrusted to a person who is not even able to realize the responsibility, and this was done on purpose”, “The low level of education of our Minister of Foreign Affairs is dangerous”, have commented users.
The day before, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced that Finland had officially become the 31st member of NATO .
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, in turn, indicated that this measure would have a negative impact on relations between Finland and Russia.
