Admits to jumping on the ‘Ozempic train’

American actress and reality TV star Dolores Catania readily admits to regularly using diet pills to keep her lines at bay.

Catania, who is best known for her appearance on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, said this on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

Catania said she jumped on the “Ozempic bandwagon,” but as those who have been following the news know, Ozempic is a drug allegedly used by the wealthy in Hollywood. Ozempic was developed for the treatment of diabetes, but it has also been shown to be beneficial in the fight against obesity.

Catania said on the show that she takes the drug Mounjaro, which has a similar effect to Ozempic. When Cohen asked her about the side effects, she said she just felt like she wasn’t hungry.

The stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey are reuniting for a special comeback episode in two weeks, and Catania says she wanted to look good on the show.

This disclosure from Catania has been mixed with people on social media. Some praised her for her openness while others criticized her for her selfishness. She doesn’t need the medicine directly like those with diabetes.

It has been pointed out that taking drugs like Ozempic is not entirely safe and many people experience side effects from the drugs.

Metabolism and endocrinology expert Arna Guðmundsdóttir recently told RÚV that the most common side effects are nausea and even vomiting. Arna also noted that people regain weight very quickly when they stop taking the drug.
