Chinese President Xi Jinping says he is ready to cooperate with France on the issue of Ukraine negotiations

Chinese President Xi Jinping, after talks with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, said China, together with France, is ready to call on the world community to resume negotiations on the Ukraine crisis as soon as possible.

“China stands ready to cooperate with France, urging the international community to resume peace talks as soon as possible, in accordance with the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, taking into account the legitimate security interests of all parties , to seek a political solution (to the crisis), and to build a balanced, effective and sustainable European security structure,” Jinping said.

Earlier, Macron said that no country “under any circumstances” can deploy nuclear weapons on foreign territory.

Today, Chinese President Xi Jinping holds bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron in the Chinese Parliament.
