According to SHOT, special forces blocked the militants in one of the houses in the village of Zyazikov-Yurt. Previously, the shootout with the police was organized by the same gangsters who previously attacked the security forces in Kantyshevo.
According to preliminary media reports, a group of assailants who had previously attacked the security forces exchanged fire with the police officers who were at the scene. The incident took place in an abandoned building where the militants fled after their previous attacks. After a clash with the police, they started fighting back.
Earlier, according to TASS, the body of one of the alleged traffic police station attackers was found in Malgobek district. According to the press service of the FSB department for the region, a Kalashnikov assault rifle, a grenade launcher and grenades were found next to the corpse.
On the night of March 29, the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, announced on his Telegram channel the details of the Gudermes incident. According to him, as a result of a special operation of the security forces, two militants were killed, none of the security forces or civilians were injured.
