The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies is preparing to organize the graduation ceremony of the seventh cohort of master’s students on May 18. It is expected that the total number of students graduating this year will be 196, of whom 129 will be in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, and 67 in the College of Economics, Administration and Public Policies.
Dr. Ibrahim Freihat, Dean of Student Affairs, said that the graduation ceremony is the most important annual event organized by the Institute, which was established specifically to contribute to attempts to advance scientific research in the social, human and administrative sciences, and to produce original knowledge that clashes with global research production, pointing out that the Institute seeks to achieve His mission is through the adoption of international academic standards of an advanced level in all the disciplines it provides that qualify graduates of the institute with master’s degrees to enter the higher education experience in doctoral disciplines in other prestigious international universities.
For her part, Ms. Iman Al-Sulaiti, Executive Director of the Administrative and Financial Sector at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, indicated that preparations are under way to put the final touches for a distinguished graduation ceremony for a new cohort armed with science and knowledge and supportive of the sustainable development process, noting that the Institute has celebrated the graduation of six cohorts since its inception, with a number A total of 1040 male and female graduates.
The institute offers 18 internationally accredited master’s programs in two faculties: the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the College of Economics, Administration and Public Policy, while it offers eight programs in the doctoral track: development economics, public administration, political science and international relations, Arabic linguistics and lexicography, history, sociology, And media studies, and critical security studies.
