In the capital of the republic, work is underway on the construction of a tunnel at the three-level interchange of the Gorkovskoye highway, completion is scheduled for June, traffic on the first section will be started from by the end of the month, City Hall reports.
Mayor Ilsur Metshin reviewed the work progress, noting that the work is in full swing – 62 workers and 41 equipment are involved. The three-level interchange is the main and most difficult section of the reconstruction. The complete renovation of the highway is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
Igor Kulyazhev, deputy head of the executive committee, said the interchange consists of three parts: an overpass, a tunnel and a land part. The first ceiling was poured, the installation of six viaduct supports was completed.
After the completion of the reconstruction, there will be 3 underground roundabouts on the Gorky highway, which will be located on the section from Kulakhmetova street to Vosstaniya street, on Zalesnaya near the Olimpiets sports complex and in the area of Osinovskaya Street. It is planned to equip two reversal rings, the first – next to the Fakel shopping center, the second – not far from Lebyazhye – already in 2024.
Also in Kazan, work is underway on the Voznesensky Lane, the repair of the bridge along Nazarbayev, they plan to start modernizing the bridges over the Kinderka, the Dry River and the bridge in the village of Kuzemetyevo. 12 road sections will be renovated in the city as part of the national project “High Quality Safe Roads”.
National projects have been implemented in the country since 2019 by decree of the President of Russia.
