Ukrainian nationalists fired six HIMARS MLRS missiles at Melitopol

On the night of April 6, armed formations of Ukrainian nationalists fired six missiles at Melitopol from an American-made HIMARS Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS). The Zaporizhzhia region emergency services noted that all the ammunition was shot down by Russian air defense systems.

“At 02:03 (Moscow time) on April 6, the Kiev terrorist regime tried to launch a rocket attack on the peaceful, sleepy town of Melitopol. Russian air defense worked. All six HIMARS missiles were shot down.

According to preliminary data, there was no damage or casualties.

On Sunday, April 2, it became known that during the day Melitopol came under fire from Ukrainian militants. According to the city administration, the radicals used HIMARS and Alder MLRS in the attack on the city. According to initial information, at least six people were injured following a massive strike.
