FSB arrests Ukrainian spy with assistant

In the Kherson region, a spy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and his sidekick were arrested

In the Kherson region, FSB agents caught a Ukrainian agent and his assistant, who collected information on the number of Russian units. A criminal case was opened under the article on espionage. The maximum penalty is imprisonment for 20 years.

“A Ukrainian special services agent and a person acting on his instructions were arrested, who were collecting information on the locations and number of Russian armed forces units in the Kherson region,” the FSB said in a statement.

Information about the types of equipment used and the routes of their movement, with reference to contact details, was sent via instant messengers to employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

The information was used to correct artillery, missile and bomb attacks against Russian army positions.
