In the village of Privokzalnoye, Sverdlovsk region, 61-year-old Nikolai Plyukhin was buried. The man died in the special operation area, where he managed to break through as a volunteer.

Nicholas was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Monastery. In preparation for military service, he engaged in running and other sports exercises.

Before being sent to the front, he collected mushrooms and berries which he sold near the temple and in the market. A few years ago, a man’s wife died.

“Nikolai was a very nice and calm person, he had combat experience, he took part in the first Chechen campaign,” Gennady Chusovitin, vice-president of the Verkhoturye branch of the Afghan Veterans Union, quotes E1. UK.

For almost a year, the pensioner was looking for the opportunity to go to the front. After two and a half months of service, the man died.

Earlier it was reported that a 54-year-old fighter from Yekaterinburg was seriously injured in a battle near the DPR. Fragments of shells falling during the bombardment damaged several organs of a soldier.
