Mishustin announced his intention to introduce AI into the Russian economy by up to 50%

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the introduction of artificial intelligence into the Russian economy will reach 50% by 2024. For these purposes, 28 billion rubles are planned in 2021-2024, the head of the Cabinet said during a speech in the State Duma.

Under the aegis of the government, there is a working group on the implementation of neural networks in the economic sphere. Today, the level of integration of AI into the national economy is around 20%.

For the development of this sphere, the program “Artificial Intelligence” is implemented. As part of the training of its personnel, enrollment in universities amounted to 3.2 thousand students and teachers who are improving their qualifications. On September 1, 2022, the National Center for AI Development was launched. For small and medium-sized enterprises that implement artificial intelligence projects, 5 billion rubles of subsidies for 650 projects were granted in 2021-2022.

Earlier it was reported that serious projects in the field of AI are being implemented in Russia. In particular, neural networks capable of analyzing CT and MRI images, identifying pathologies with the greatest precision. They are already actively used in medicine.
