In the Tver region, work continues on free gas supply to the boundaries of household plots of land. To date, 10,205 agreements have been concluded with owners for the implementation of post-gasification activities. 7,611 contracts were executed, including 2,888 connections to the gas networks.

The proposal to bring free gas to household borders was voiced by the United Russia party and backed by President Vladimir Putin after Governor Igor Rudenya and Acting Deputy Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Dmitry Kobylkin spoke to residents of one of the gasified villages of the Tver region, who asked to reduce the cost of supplying gas to residential buildings.

On February 21, 2023, speaking during the speech to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the head of state announced that -gasification program will work in the country on a continuous basis.

The Tver region was one of the first regions in the country to start collecting applications, concluding contracts with residents and delivering gas to the boundaries of family plots. The region has approved the consolidated plans and schedules object by object of the works.

Additional gasification involves the construction of a gas pipeline to the border of the land with a residential building located on it. The consumer provides wiring for gas networks in the area and inside the house at his own expense.

In order to reduce the financial burden, regional support measures have been put in place for a certain number of categories of inhabitants in the implementation of additional gasification.

Among the preferential categories are invalids and veterans of the Great Patriotic War; former minor inmates of concentration camps; persons awarded with the badge “Inhabitant of Leningrad under siege”; family members of deceased (deceased) invalids and participants in the Great Patriotic War; veterans, including participants in a special military operation; family members of deceased (deceased) veterans, as well as families and citizens living alone with low income.

The amount of subsidies for such residents can reach 100,000 rubles.

By decision of Governor Igor Rudenya, large families in the region can receive financial assistance for additional gasification up to 300,000 rubles. It is expected that in 2023 more than 220 large families in the Upper Volga region will be able to take advantage of this measure.
