Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Federation and Belarus are stepping up their defense and security cooperation with Belarus.
“Russia and Belarus are strengthening and will continue to strengthen their cooperation in the field of defense and security, expanding cooperation in the military-technical sphere,” Putin told a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the state of the Union.
As the President pointed out, this is particularly important in today’s difficult international situation.
Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said he discussed with Putin the security and defense of the Union State.
In addition, Lukashenko said that it is necessary to strengthen the borders of the Union state in order to stop the flow of weapons from Ukraine.
