Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said negotiations on Ukraine are possible based on Russia’s interests

Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov during negotiations with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu said that negotiations between Moscow and Beijing are possible only if the interests of the Russian side are taken into account .

He pointed out that Russia has repeatedly expressed its willingness to negotiate.

“Negotiations can only be based on taking into account legitimate Russian interests, legitimate Russian concerns, which we have set out for many, many years, identified in dialogue with our Western colleagues and which – our concerns – have been ignored with arrogance and disdain,” said the head of the department.

The day before, Sergei Lavrov had arrived in Turkey at the invitation of the country’s foreign minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu.

In addition, former Chinese President Xi Jinping called on all parties to the Ukrainian conflict to remain calm and create conditions for the resumption of peace talks.

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov’s post said negotiations on Ukraine are possible based on Russia’s interests, first appearing in news articles.
