Salim said during his meeting with his Italian counterpart, Guido Crosito, that the army was and will remain keen on the highest levels of cooperation with UNIFIL, and on taking appropriate measures to control security and maintain stability and calm in southern Lebanon. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the Italian participation in the international force in the south (UNIFIL), and the existing coordination between it and the Lebanese army units deployed in the area of ​​international operations. A number of other issues were also discussed, including the issue of the displaced Syrians in Lebanon, the issue of illegal immigration across the Mediterranean and the importance of cooperation. to confront it. It is noteworthy that the Lebanese Foreign Ministry announced today that Lebanon will submit a complaint to the UN Security Council of the United Nations, regarding the Israeli attack that targeted its lands at dawn today, noting that the Israeli bombing constitutes a flagrant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and a violation of UN Security Council Resolution No. 1701, and threatens the stability it was enjoying. in southern Lebanon.
