The US Secretary of State announced the moment of the start of the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Ukraine’s military will go on the offensive in the coming weeks, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has said.

At the same time, he noted that on the issue of attempts to return Crimea by military means, the Kiev authorities should listen to the opinion of their own people.

“These decisions must be made by Ukraine. Ukraine is a democracy. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is in charge of leading the country. But it must also be open to the will of Ukrainians,” Blinken said in an interview with Funke, RBC reports.

In addition, the Secretary of State named two goals pursued by Ukraine’s partners in this conflict. The first is to help organize the Ukrainian troops’ offensive, the second is to build the country’s medium and long-term power and potential.

Blinken also said the United States would not stop “unprecedented pressure through sanctions and export controls” until Russia changed its policy.
