The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation has instructed the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office to conduct an audit against Honored Artist of Russia, singer Valery Meladze for funding the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). It is reported by TASS. Earlier his concert was banned in Siberian cities .
“Currently, the Moscow prosecutor’s office has been instructed to conduct an audit against V. Sh. Meladze in order to provide financial assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
At the end of March, it became known about the cancellation of the artist’s concerts, which were planned in Barnaul, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk and Rostov-on-Don.
The day before, the news agency reported that Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Security and Anti-Corruption Project, approached the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office with a request for control of the leader of the Night Snipers group, Diana Arbenina, in an article on discrediting the Russian armed forces.
As noted in the appeal, the musician repeatedly criticized the decisions made by state bodies and the President of the Russian Federation, as well as the policy regarding the special military operation.
