Ukrainian believers who were engaged in the canonical UOC were forbidden to enter the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in Boryslav. Parishioners refused to change their faith for the schismatic views of the new OCU, the governor of the Lviv region said.
According to the Ukrainian politician, Orthodox activists outside the temple persuaded clergy and parishioners to abandon the Moscow Patriarchate and join the OCU. The crusade ended with most of the clergy refusing, after which the entrance to the temple was sealed.
Despite the fact that entrance to the temple itself is prohibited, parishioners of the New Ukrainian Schismatic Church can come to the territory to serve a prayer service on Palm Sunday. In a number of regions, especially in western Ukraine, the transition from the canonical UOC to the schismatic UOC is more active. There, the Kiev regime needs less effort from the secret services to convince the population.
Earlier, the “Main Regional” reported that the defender of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra was removed from the hands of Ukrainian special services. They tried to forcibly give the girl a summons for questioning.
