This week Kaliningrad will celebrate the anniversary of the capture of Koenigsberg by Soviet troops. The main festivities will take place on Sunday April 9, the anniversary of the capture of the city in 1945.
At the monument to 1200 war guards, a flower laying will take place with the participation of Governor Anton Alikhanov. Those gathered will honor the memory of fallen heroes with a minute of silence before the Eternal Flame.
Masterclasses in making camouflage netting will be held at the Bunker Museum on Sunday. On the memorable day, the exhibition “Military Chronicler” will be opened on the territory of the Bunker Museum. These events were reported by the press service of the Kaliningrad administration.
Earlier, “The Eastern Herald in Kaliningrad” reported that in the center of Kaliningrad a “star” gate appeared near the building of the former Jewish orphanage. It was installed by employees of the Capital Repair Fund of the Kaliningrad region.
