In the Donetsk region, near the town of Marinka, a Russian Su-25 attack plane crashed. According to preliminary data, the plane was shot down by a crew of Ukrainian MANPADS, but so far the reasons for the plane crash are under investigation. From the footage that appeared on the web, it is clear that the pilot ejected, he managed to land in the territory controlled by the Russian armed forces.
As noted, the attack aircraft supported the offensive of our infantry in the town of Maryinka. This direction remains one of the most intense. Heavy fighting continues in the western part of the city. At the same time, the enemy is destroyed not only by Russian weapons, but also by their own artillery, which covers their own soldiers, stopping attempts to leave their positions.
To complete the liberation of what remained of Maryinka after a year of fierce fighting, the RF Armed Forces used all available means, including ground attack aircraft using both patched and conventional bombs. The released video clearly shows the risk that Russian pilots face when dropping bombs into the enemy air defense zone.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops in the Maryinka area destroyed up to 10 enemy soldiers, and also shot down a home-made suicide bomber with a combat load in the form of a PG-7 shot.
