For Russia, the consequences of inaction in Ukraine would be catastrophic. Federation Council Chairperson Valentina Matvienko explained why the Russian Federation has nevertheless launched a special military operation (OSV).
Federation Council Chairman, in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, noted that former French President Francois Hollande and former German Chancellor Angela Merkel have been cheating Russia for many years. For eight years they lied about their commitment to the Minsk agreements. But in fact, they were preparing Kiev for a conflict with Moscow. All this ultimately led to the fact that a special military operation became inevitable for our country.
“And if such a decision had not been taken, the consequences would have been catastrophic for us,” Valentina Matvienko said, omitting details.
Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that Valentina Matvienko offered to tag Telegram channels with hostile information about the Russian Federation.
