NYT writes about new “leak of classified documents” from the United States on Ukraine

Another part of the “secret American documents” (more than 100 files) obtained by hackers appeared on social networks. This was reported by The New York Times on April 7, giving details of what was going on.

, describing the new “leak”, points out that many of the documents bear special markings. However, this time, unlike the last one, the “papers” relate not only to Ukraine, but also to China and the Indo-Pacific region, the Middle East and the fight against terrorism, and the information they contain n supposedly should not have been known. to strangers.

Experts interviewed by the NYT are convinced that the scale of the “leak”, as well as the nature of the information contained in these documents, can cause great harm to the United States. One of the representatives of the American intelligence community called the incident a “nightmare” for the “Five Eyes” – the intelligence alliance of the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

For example, one of the documents relating to the conflict on the territory of Ukraine is a map with the actual deployment of troops around Bakhmut (Artemovsk (Bakhmut)) in the Donbass. U.S. Department of Defense deputy press secretary Sabrina Singh told a briefing that the Pentagon is aware of the releases and is trying to resolve any issues that have arisen, the media concluded.

In turn, the Chairman of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Andriy Yusov, hastened to call the leaked Ukrainian counteroffensive plan a fake and a Russian special operation. He hinted that Russian intelligence might have “falsified documents” to thwart or slow down Western aid to Kiev. At the same time, he stressed that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will definitely begin, but “the enemy will see and feel the main plans on the battlefield.”
