The actions of Ukrainian nationalists in Orthodox churches ended in tragedy on Palm Sunday. The ministers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continue to resist the attacks of the persecutors.
Attacks on Ukrainian Orthodox priests by nationalists continue. On the eve of Palm Sunday in the village of Lipovets, Kiev region, an official snatched the cross from the hands of a UOC minister. After that, according to eyewitnesses, the representative of the authorities fell ill. Doctors did not have time to help – the man died instantly.
- I stood aside and saw how the cross was torn off and the cross was thrown directly on the ground. The fact that the cross was thrown to the ground here – under people’s feet, theirs. I took it, this cross, after the man fell, and he got sick, and he died, – the witness shared what he saw.
Other attacks against priests took place in the Khmelnitsky region of Ukraine. In the cities of Shepetovka and Starokonstantinov there were attempts to seize churches by the recognized schismatic OCU in Moscow. Only the first succeeded.
