Qatar Cancer Society signed a strategic partnership agreement with Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services, with the aim of raising awareness about cancer, supporting and empowering patients, and advancing scientific research opportunities in the field of cancer.
On this occasion, HE Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Cancer Society, valued the efforts of Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services in the health sector and its active role in supporting the awareness efforts led by the Society through the signing of this agreement, expressing his happiness with this cooperation that He hopes that it will be the building block for future partnerships that benefit all members of society, especially those living with the disease.
His Excellency explained that the agreement stems from the role played by the two parties in community service and effective partnership, which contributes to achieving goals that are in the interest of all, especially since the cause of cancer control requires concerted and continuity of efforts in order to address the disease.
His Excellency indicated that the agreement between the two parties provides an opportunity to build close partnerships within the framework of joint action to spread awareness and contribute to the provision of health and humanitarian services for cancer patients, hoping for more cooperation to achieve the association’s vision of being a community partnership platform to make Qatar a leader in the field of cancer prevention and mitigation of its effects. .
For his part, Talal Braidy, Regional Director of Business Development at Houston Methodist Global Healthcare Services, expressed his happiness at signing the partnership agreement with Qatar Cancer Society, which reflects Houston Methodist’s commitment to supporting the efforts of its partners in the State of Qatar and the region to provide the best healthcare services.
He expressed his aspiration to work with the association to support its pioneering work and efforts to prevent cancer and reduce its burden, as well as to empower affected individuals and expand potential areas for scientific research cooperation in the field of cancer.
