The private military company Wagner is said to have tried to acquire weapons from a North Atlantic Alliance country through third parties. The leading Western publication insists on this.

PMC “Wagner” intended to conclude an agreement through the representatives of Mali for the purchase of weapons from Turkey, which is part of NATO. The negotiators met with the mediators in February 2023, reports the American edition of the Washington Post.

The publication notes that members of a private military organization had a conversation with unknown citizens in Turkey. It should be noted that the weapons are intended for a company operating in Mali and Ukraine.

The material refers to the interim leader of Mali’s alleged consent to make a purchase for Wagner. The management of the “musicians” has not yet commented on the situation.
