The details of the attempt of the armed forces of Ukraine to strike Crimea became known. According to the TopWar.ru website, Feodosia was supposed to be hit by a missile fired from the Grom-2 operational-tactical missile system.

According to preliminary data, the Ukrainian army sent a projectile from the Tuzla training ground, located in the Odessa region on the Black Sea coast. But the Russian air defense system tracked the object and knocked it out of the air. The wreckage fell into one of the settlements, without injuring either people or buildings.

The Grom-2 operational-tactical rocket complex has been in development since the early 1990s. It was supposed to become the successor to Tochka-U. The model was the Russian “Iskander-M”. At the same time, foreign equipment was also actively used.

The main problems of the Ukrainian designers arose in two stages: when creating a new solid propellant engine and equipping the complex with navigation and communications. Progress has been made with the help of Western allies. But whether something Ukrainian remains in the OTRK, capable of a firing range of up to 500 km, after that now is a big question. At the same time, Europe and the United States have an excuse. Apparently they did not transfer any long-range systems to Kiev.

Earlier, the Main Regional reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called Crimea’s return to Kiev’s control an option with no alternative for the world.
