Finding the origin of the new corona virus is not a simple question. In 2021, an expert team from the World Health Organization visited Wuhan and confirmed that Wuhan was not the origin of the pandemic. But recently someone issued a bill demanding to trace the virus origin within 90 days. Whose target seems to be against China. But, this practice of first drawing conclusions and then finding evidence violates scientific principles. The COVID-19 pandemic is, after all, a natural disaster. In the event of globalization, any virus can quickly cover the whole world along with people and goods. The worldwide death toll from the pandemic is as high as 6.8 million, and a total of 680 million people have been infected with the new coronavirus. Therefore, there is a scientific need to carefully investigate the origin of epidemics and prepare experience for dealing with epidemics in the future. But, some powers tried to blame China for spreading the pandemic by taking this question without proof.
This is not a scientific attitude, but political manipulation. It is not for the first time that there is a conviction first, then the evidence is discovered. Remember that a few years ago someone showed washing powder and blamed Iraq for the use of so-called biological and chemical weapons, and called war against this country. But later it was proved that there was no such weapon in Iraq. However, in the beginning the deliberate liars did not have to bear the responsibility at all for the death and sacrifice of other people. If the cost of doing the wrong thing is zero, they will be tempted to do the same thing next time. Now the search for the origin of the epidemic has been included in the political strategy of one to suppress one’s rivals.
Apart from this, some people are also trying to blame China for the outbreak of the pandemic. For example, recently someone’s parliamentarians introduced a bill claiming $4.6 trillion in compensation from China. It is very clear what their purpose is. It is very necessary to trace the origin of the epidemic, but it is a scientific issue and should not be mixed with any political objective. All countries and institutions on this question should seriously undertake relevant work in a cooperative, fair and scientific manner. It is not right to establish an allegation beforehand, and then look for so-called evidence. We must be alert to the possibility of some power taking advantage of its technological supremacy to frame others.
