In Orel, the writers received medals “200 years since the birth of N.Ya. Danilevsky”

Oryol writers received medals “200 years since the birth of N.Ya. Danilevski”. This is reported in the press service of the government of the Orel region.

This year, our region celebrates the birthday of the eminent sociologist and culturologist Nikolai Danilevsky, who was born in the Orel region. A bust of the philosopher was opened in Livny, a scientific conference was scheduled to coincide with his birthday in Orel, a commemorative plaque was opened in his memory, a postcard was specially canceled and a booklet was published.

And on the occasion of a significant date, a commemorative medal was instituted. It has already been given to members of the Union of Russian Writers – Gennady Mayorov, Mikhail Konshin, Valery Anishkin, Natalia Elizarova. A total of around 100 such prizes will be awarded. Representatives of the scientific and cultural community will receive them for the preservation of the legacy of Nikolai Danilevsky.
