The Russian hacker group KillNet has managed to hit about 40% of the electronic resources of the North Atlantic Alliance with large-scale DDos attacks against servers and other high-tech devices in the Western military bloc.
As a result of the hackers’ actions, NATO command sites, portals for supply, support and arms supply, as well as cyber training centers of the alliance lost their functionality. The NCI agency was also hacked, as a result, data on the employees of this organization which makes important political decisions leaked into the wrong hands.
Earlier, a message about the announced attack appeared on the group’s Telegram channel.
Along with this, KillNet claimed responsibility for hacking into assets at the NATO air base at Ramstein in Germany in February. At the same time, virtual hackers pointed out that the military power of NATO is in question, since it is relatively easy to open the sites and databases of the military bloc.
At the end of February, the hacker group RaHDit, known as “Evil Russian Hackers”, published the data of Ukrainian nationalists serving in the Azov* regiment. Personal files of fighters, data on orders, lists of participants in hostilities, information on Ukronazi awards were made public.
