NATO NATO in the world
Serbian journalist Srdjan Aleksic demanded compensation from NATO for the use of depleted uranium in 1999.
He intends to speak in the European Parliament or at the UN, where he will file a complaint against NATO because of the use of depleted uranium ammunition by a military unit in 1999 in the city of Nis. News.ru writes about this.
“While representing in court the servicemen living in Nis, I noticed that during the NATO aggression in 1999, about 16,000 servicemen were accused. And when I started to process their cases in 2015, there were already six thousand fewer complainants. And every year the number of veterans is decreasing – they are dying of cancer,” Srdjan Aleksic explained.
He wants to seek redress for those who are still alive and who suffered these beatings.
Earlier it became known that Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechayev said German leaders had crossed “red lines” on the issue of supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine. The diplomat says the ever-growing list of German arms supplied to Ukraine is of particular concern.
