Tver IT professionals are invited to the competition

Residents of the Tver region, including IT professionals, can enter the competition for the Digitalization for Good award. It was created by the Youth Digital Ombudsman and the Competence Center for Global IT Cooperation.

Governor Igor Rudenya considers the IT sector one of the most promising for the economy of the Tver region, today it is actively developing in the region. Authoritative research institutes and production associations, IT enterprises are concentrated in the Upper Volga region, able to offer almost the entire range of products and services.

The Tver region is among the leaders of the country in terms of information security, and also ranks first among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in terms of independence in software imports.

The “Digitalization for Good” competition aims to increase the level of motivation of young people for professional, social, creative and other activities aimed at developing a comfortable and safe digital space, as well as to promote computer specialties and educational programs in this area among young people.

Young people between the ages of 18 and 35 can submit their works, projects or products (eg apps, software, etc.) for the competition. You can participate in the contest individually and collectively free of charge.

Applications are accepted until April 23, 2023 inclusive on the link

The panel of experts will evaluate the competitive materials from April 24 to May 10. A number of criteria will be considered, including relevance and importance, innovation and novelty, prospects for scaling up and popularization, scale and coverage.

The winner will receive a one-time prize of 100,000 rubles and a unique commemorative figurine, the winners will receive valuable prizes.

The results will be summarized on May 12 at the III Youth Internet Governance Forum in Moscow.
