April 11 marks the day Nazi concentration camp prisoners and a Navy chemist were released

On Tuesday, April 11, the world celebrates the International Day for the Liberation of Prisoners from Nazi Concentration Camps. On this day, but in 1945, the international uprising of Buchenwald concentration camp prisoners began.
