The need to modernize and improve the military registration system was announced by the Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov. He said so when commenting on the bill on a unified military registry.
“It has nothing to do with mobilization. It has to do with military registration. And this must be understood and explained. Military registration is something that the citizens of our country, according to the Constitution, constantly face. At least once in a lifetime. This system must keep pace with the requirements of the time,” Peskov stressed in a conversation with journalists.
Earlier, Andrei Kartapolov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense, explained what bans could be introduced for draft dodgers.
Moreover, the Russian President’s press secretary called the Minsk agreements “a game of thimbles”.
