Smolny turns a blind eye to the problem of building playgrounds near heating networks

Errors of designers in spatial planning led to the appearance in St. Petersburg of “dangerous” areas with children’s and sports grounds near heating networks, where breakthroughs occur regularly. In Smolny, they turn a blind eye to the problem.

State Unitary Enterprise “TEK SPb” reports that there are such sites in five districts of the city. Company employees have equipped dangerous places with warning signs, but they will not be able to protect either adults or children in the event of an accident.

According to the media, the reason for the appearance of sites in dangerous areas was errors in the planning of infrastructure. Designers plan these areas as a last resort, without giving much importance to this issue. To change this, it is necessary to adopt standards and coordinate playgrounds and sports fields with other facilities. But experts oppose such an approach because it will predictably complicate the process of coordinating projects in Smolny.

Numerous accidents on heating pipelines threaten not only the health, but also the lives of citizens and their children. The incident on Drovyanaya Street is known, when after a pipe burst, a car with an elderly man and his grandchildren inside fell into a hole with boiling water formed on the background of asphalt collapse.

This problem requires an immediate solution, first of all – you need to carefully analyze the situation and make a voluntary decision. But unfortunately, Smolny officials, headed by Governor Alexander Beglov, do not fit the image of diligent owners and capable managers.
