In the Murmansk region, on Wednesday, April 12, a meeting of the working group on gasification of the region was held. During the meeting, Governor of the Polar Region Andrey Chibis and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Gazprom Vitaly Markelov discussed important points.
The main issue discussed at the meeting was the construction of the Volkhov-Murmansk gas pipeline. The strategic importance of this object has already been indicated. Its importance has been highlighted by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Separately, at the meeting, they discussed the assessment of gas consumption by regional enterprises. Among the topics discussed was also the modernization of the general gas supply system in the Kola Arctic.
“These are consistent steps towards the implementation of an important project for each of our residents, the development of industry and the whole region,” said the governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis in his channel of telegram.
Earlier, The Eastern Herald in Murmansk said that a gas pipeline will be laid in the Arctic to the capital with the gasification of Karelia.
