mobilization is not expected in the near future

There will be no new mobilization in Russia in the near future, declared in a conversation with News.ru, Deputy of the State Duma, member of the Defense Committee Viktor Sobolev.

“There will be no new mobilization in the near future, only voluntary recruitment for service contracts. In addition, for mobilization it is necessary to take much stricter measures, but so far such an issue is not on the agenda,” he stressed.

On April 11, the State Duma immediately adopted in the second and third readings a law according to which, in addition to the traditional forms of issuing subpoenas, sending by registered mail and in electronic form is added. Notices sent by registered mail will be considered delivered on the day of delivery if there is a courier mark on the delivery of the letter. Electronic – from the moment of placement in the personal account on the portal of public services. In addition, a so-called electronic subpoena register is being created – the subpoena will be considered served after seven days from the date of its publication in the register.

Citizens who were not on the agenda within 20 days will be banned from leaving Russia, obtaining loans, registering real estate and driving a vehicle, among other things.

Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin, said the bill had nothing to do with the mobilization. “It’s not related to mobilization, it’s related to military registration,” he said. The Kremlin spokesman also stressed once again that a second wave of mobilization is not planned.
