Sales of electric vehicles in Russia are increasing

February indicators of electric vehicles sold for the first time reached one percent of all new passenger cars, similar data in March this year.

Last month, Russians bought 702 new electric vehicles, roughly the same number were sold in 2020.

The championship in the number of electric vehicles belongs to the capital, where 3,400 of them are registered, Primorsky Krai takes second place – 1,700, the third on the podium of electric vehicles was the Irkutsk region, along the roads including 1,640 units loaded with electricity rush. In addition, the Krasnodar Territory with 1,370 electric units, in the Moscow region 1,190 domestic electric vehicles, and in St. Petersburg there are just under 1,000.

If we translate these data per capita, then Primorsky Krai will be among the three most electromobilized subjects of the Russian Federation: there are 92 electric cars per hundred thousand inhabitants, in Moscow – 26, in St. Petersburg – about 17.

Number one in sales is the Russian brand Evolute: 160 electric cars were purchased in March, representing 23% of all purchases. The German Volkswagen gave away only a dozen cars, 150 of them were sold, and the American Tesla 103 units.

It has already been reported that a good driving position is one of the keys to safe driving.
