Shiveluch Volcanic Ash Emission Assigned Maximum Danger Code

The release of volcanic ash from Shiveluch was assigned the highest hazard code on the ICAO scale. This was stated in the Federal Air Transport Agency.

“This release of volcanic ash has been assigned a ‘red’ (maximum) hazard code on the ICAO scale,” the organization’s website says.

The Federal Air Transport Agency asked flight crews to take into account the peculiarities of the phenomenon when choosing routes during flights, as well as to follow weather information.

Earlier, eyewitnesses showed images of a huge ash cloud from the Shiveluch Volcano. In the video you can see how volcanologists barely managed to escape a raging natural phenomenon.
