The State Duma adopted in the final reading the law on the Unified Register of Persons Subject to Military Service

The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted in the third final reading a draft law on the creation of a unified register of persons liable for military service. According to the text of the bill, citations can be duplicated electronically. They can also be sent to citizens in writing against receipt or by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt.

It is supposed to prohibit citizens who have received a summons from leaving the country before their visit to the military registration and enlistment office. If a citizen evades the draft, he may be banned from driving.

Earlier, Andrei Kartapolov, chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee, said electronic notifications from military enlistment offices would duplicate paper diaries. In this case, the two documents will have the same legal value.
